Dr. Chantelle Thomas

Executive Clinical Director

Dr. Chantelle Thomas is The Manor’s Executive Clinical Director and a Clinical Psychologist specializing in addiction treatment, trauma and health psychology. With her experience in trauma work, Dr. Thomas guides the clinical team in the comprehensive assessment and treatment of each guest. Dr. Thomas is also a certified biofeedback practitioner, providing clients at The Manor with an added dimension of insight and discovery helping them better regulate and understand the psychological impact of stress and chronic trauma.

Dr. Thomas began her career as the Program Director for a dual-diagnosis addiction and trauma treatment center in Malibu, California. After receiving her PhD in Clinical Psychology, she completed her internship and post-doctoral fellowship in Health and Rehabilitation Psychology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Mental Health. While there, she gained specialized expertise in medical-surgical consultation, trauma- informed therapy and chronic pain treatment. Through the University of Wisconsin’s School of Family Medicine, Dr. Thomas then joined Access Community Health Center as a Behavioral Health Consultant to primary care physicians where she innovated the development of a substance use disorder consultation clinic embedded within primary care. Her background in research-supported treatment modalities directly informs her ability to ensure the most effective interventions are incorporated into The Manor’s holistic program.

Pam Schmidt

Pam is a Certified Advanced Practice Social Worker working in the mental health field since 1994. She is also a substance abuse counselor, a Certified EMDR therapist, a Consultant in Training, a Certified Colorpuncture Practitioner and a member of both NASW and EMDRIA. With extensive experience working with trauma survivors and dual diagnosis clients, Pam provides clients at The Manor with individual and group therapy. She specializes in eating disorders and has previously worked at an eating disorder center. Pam has also been trained in sex addictions, specializing in assessment for process addictions and past life regression therapy. A dynamic presenter, Pam has spoken at schools, conferences, hospitals and on television news programs. She believes that in helping her clients access their own emotional and spiritual beliefs, that they will be able to maximize their personal growth.

Victoria has been in the helping profession since 2004 and earned her master’s degree from the University in Wisconsin-Whitewater in Community Counseling. Victoria is a dual licensed clinician, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities for the treatment of mental health, trauma, and substance abuse disorders. Through the years, Victoria has worked in several areas of mental health treatment including intensive outpatient, community based outreach, residential treatment, individual therapy, and Marital/Family counseling services. Victoria has been part of the Windrose Recovery team since 2016, in her role as a Primary Therapist, working in collaboration with the clinical team providing holistically focused client care, family therapy, and treatment strategies. Additionally, Victoria facilitates clinical supervision for the Associate Therapists and clinical coaches in guiding them to conceptualize and execute client treatment planning and services. Victoria employs a framework based heavily in attachment theory, aspects of Internal Family systems with an emphasis on building the awareness of cognitive-emotional integration towards a path of healing. Victoria is also trained in EMDR and values alternative somatic methods to move through areas of distress, towards establishing lasting relief. Victoria strives to cultivate a close working relationship with her clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment.

Andrea Himes is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor. She received her Master of Science in Professional Counseling at Mount Mary University. During that time, she specialized in trauma and addiction while supporting the community as an AODA volunteer.

Through a trauma-informed and attachment-based lens, she incorporates concepts of Psychodynamic and Internal Family Systems therapy. She utilizes a diverse set of techniques with a highlight on somatic experiences. Andrea has experience working at various levels of care including inpatient, residential, and outpatient and is EMDR trained.

Samantha Schaefer

Samantha Schaefer, MSW, LCSW, CSAC, is an Associate Therapist at The Manor, where she provides individual and group therapy and family outreach and education. Samantha is trained in EMDR and Brainspotting and specializes in working with trauma and substance use disorders. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Ripon College and a Master of Social Work with a certificate in Trauma-Informed Care from UW-Milwaukee. Samantha has previously worked in inpatient, residential, correctional, and outpatient settings, focusing on clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Outside of work, Samantha finds fulfillment in spending time with her family and children and in enjoying hobbies such as camping and gardening. Additionally, she has dedicated 10 years to volunteering through Big Brothers Big Sisters, contributing to their mission of making a positive impact through mentorship.

Dr. Todd Kammerzelt

Psychiatrist

Dr. Todd Kammerzelt is an addiction psychiatrist certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). In addition to his role of Psychiatrist at The Manor, Dr. Kammerzelt also serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Most recently, he was the Medical Director of Connections Counseling in Madison, Wisconsin. He previously held the roles of Staff Psychiatrist at the Madison VA and Unit Chief for an adult co-occurring disorder program at the Brattleboro Retreat in Vermont.
Dr. Kammerzelt received his medical degree at the University of Wisconsin Madison School of Medicine and Public Health, including the Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship at the UW School of Medicine. He also accomplished his premedical degree at Columbia University and undergraduate degree at Tulane University.
At The Manor, Dr. Kammerzelt treats each client individually by utilizing his expertise in mental health and substance use disorders with compassion and dedication.

Dr. Erin Curtis

Psychiatrist

Dr. Curtis is a double board-certified addiction psychiatrist who views the decision to enter treatment as a courageous step. She is dedicated to helping patients with complex medical and psychiatric problems. Dr. Curtis offers the same compassion and evidence-based practice to her clients that she would want for a close friend or family member. Her clinical style is collaborative and practical. She has unique experience in working with medical trauma and a broad range of interests including history and humanities which enrich her clinical work.

Dr. Curtis completed medical school at the University of Pittsburgh in 2005 where she was elected by her classmates to the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She completed general psychiatry residency and addiction psychiatry fellowship at University of Wisconsin where she was a Chief Resident and earned an award for clinical excellence. She is a volunteer faculty member at UW and has served as a lecturer and supervisor for psychiatry residents.

Dr. Curtis also works as a community psychiatrist for Rock County Human Services Dept where she serves individuals with severe and complex mental illness. In that role she also provides clinical teaching and supervision for therapists and social workers, and works on their Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion Committee.

Samantha Stroeh is a double board-certified nurse practitioner (NP) by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in Psychiatric and Mental Health care, and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) in Adult/Gerontology Primary Care.

Previously, Samantha received her Master’s in Nursing at Marquette University in addition to her primary care NP certification. She attended the University of Wisconsin Madison for her psychiatric NP certification. While there, she specialized in addiction psychiatry during clinical rotations and further explored her passion for psychedelic assisted therapy. She accomplished her undergraduate degree in sports & exercise science at Wisconsin Lutheran College. Samantha worked as an emergency department nurse for 5 years while studying to become a nurse practitioner and utilizes this expertise in individualizing care for each patient by addressing both psychiatric and medical illness.

Nancy is Vice President of Clinical Outreach at The Manor where she is responsible for overseeing and facilitating admissions, continuing care and national clinical outreach. She brings with her more than 20 years of addiction and behavioral health experience at nationally recognized, well-respected treatment facilities throughout the country—including 10 years as Director of Marketing at The Meadows in Arizona. Nancy has led national business development teams and trained outreach and marketing professionals throughout the country. She has also been an integral part of developing new treatment programs and has helped numerous private practice practitioners grow their businesses into thriving practices. Nancy began her career, after receiving her Masters of Science in Social Work from Columbia University, as a therapist at an outpatient clinic and became the Assistant Director for several years before finding her passion in addiction treatment and clinical outreach.

With more than a decade of experience in the healthcare field, Stephanie brings a passion for connecting individuals with the treatment they need to help them on their path to recovery. At The Manor, she serves as a resource not only for individuals seeking treatment, but also for treatment providers and professionals, developing and maintaining relationships with care providers throughout the Midwest and across the country. Prior to joining The Manor’s outreach team, Stephanie was the Director of Marketing for a medical rehabilitation center, working closely with hospital social workers, case managers, physicians and community partners. Stephanie lives in the western suburbs of Chicago with her husband and two children and enjoys spending time with her family, yoga and gardening.

Krista has earned her Bachelor's Degree in Human Service Management with extended studies in Psychology and Addiction Treatment. Previously, Krista has worked as an ABA therapist and a Mental Health Professional both outpatient and residentially with adolescents and adults. Krista has always wanted to make an impact on others, which has brought her to the Manor. In her role at the Manor, Krista provides clients with emotional support, facilitates in-house meetings, assist clients in clinical work, and works as an alumni coordinator following up with clients after they leave treatment continuing to support their recovery journey. While Krista is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, working on art, gardening, and spending time outdoors.

Ryan has worked in Social Services for 17 years in treatment center facilities and shelters with at-risk children and adults with autism and dual-diagnoses. At The Manor, Ryan provides overall support and direction to clients on their road to recovery. He has earned his degree in Marketing with a focus on Psychology and Sociology. His hobbies include sports and collecting vintage rock ‘n’ roll t-shirts.

Leilani holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in criminal justice. She is currently getting her master’s degree in health psychology with a concentration in neuroscience and has been working in substance abuse and addiction units for two and a half years. Most of her experience has been with clients who were referred to the inpatient rehabilitation unit from their judges as they came from a correctional facility. Working previously in a rehab with those who have been incarcerated helped her understand that addiction is not so linear and that it much more complex than how society interprets it. She enjoys being exposed to new things and people as they provide opportunities to learn, grow, and give her perspective.

Connor has a BA in Psychology and Political Science.
Previously Connor worked at a hospital administering neurocognitive evaluations for individuals experiencing cognitive decline. He left that job to pursue his passion of mental healthcare and gravitated to the individualized client care that The Manor offers. Connor is particularly interested in psychedelic assisted psychotherapy as a treatment for addiction, anxiety, and depression.

Outside of his work, Connor is involved in research and is creating publications regarding the therapeutic use of psychedelics. Additionally, he spends much of his free time training to compete in powerlifting and strongman competitions. If clients want help with exercise or just want company during their workouts, he is happy to help!

As a Clinical Coach, Ann provides direct support to clients at The Manor through mentoring, monitoring, and assisting within a multidisciplinary team. She has volunteered her photography skills for several occasions that are important to her. Past events she volunteered for include childhood cancer, colon cancer, and autism.

Arthur is a Chef with more than 25 years’ experience specializing in full service, mass production, mobile catering and private and public culinary arts. He graduated with the Le Grand Diploma from Le Cordon Bleu in London, England. As an Executive Chef at The Manor, Arthur is committed to creating nutritious, seasonal and locally sourced meals that provide superior nutritional care to each client. Arthur especially enjoys The Manor’s Tuesday afternoon cooking class structured around the clients’ desire to build an individualized culinary toolkit to take with them on their continued path towards lasting recovery. Arthur is an avid guitar player and teacher and is dedicated to family and friends.

Kady attended Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Minneapolis/St. Paul. With more than 18 years' experience as a chef in restaurants and high-end private clubs, Kady provides a welcoming and positive presence, offering a friendly ear, a smile, and lessons and recipes when requested. Outside The Manor, she enjoys spending time with her fiancé, who is also culinarian, cooking at home, and trying new restaurants. Kady also loves live music, hiking, and spending time with two adorable young nephews.

Ruth provides The Manor’s clients guidance in investigating the relevance of spiritual practices and relationship to self and others. She also encourages clients to find authentic ways to express their spirituality as they recover from alcoholism, addiction and trauma.
Ruth facilitates 12-Step retreats and spirituality workshops in Wisconsin and throughout the United States, helping individuals explore practices and prayer in new ways by delving into creative, passionate, active and still processes.
Ruth trained at the Siena Spirituality Center in Racine, WI where she was certified in Spiritual Direction. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Professional Development of Education from Cardinal Stritch University, and has more than 30 years’ experience in education.
Ruth enjoys the outdoors by biking, hiking, gardening and photography and the indoors by drawing, painting, writing, sewing and yoga.
Ruth is active in both AA and Al-Anon through sponsorship and service work.
