Dr. Chantelle Thomas

Executive Clinical Director

Dr. Chantelle Thomas is The Manor’s Executive Clinical Director and a Clinical Psychologist specializing in addiction treatment, trauma and health psychology. With her experience in trauma work, Dr. Thomas guides the clinical team in the comprehensive assessment and treatment of each guest. Dr. Thomas is also a certified biofeedback practitioner, providing clients at The Manor with an added dimension of insight and discovery helping them better regulate and understand the psychological impact of stress and chronic trauma.

Dr. Thomas began her career as the Program Director for a dual-diagnosis addiction and trauma treatment center in Malibu, California. After receiving her PhD in Clinical Psychology, she completed her internship and post-doctoral fellowship in Health and Rehabilitation Psychology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Mental Health. While there, she gained specialized expertise in medical-surgical consultation, trauma- informed therapy and chronic pain treatment. Through the University of Wisconsin’s School of Family Medicine, Dr. Thomas then joined Access Community Health Center as a Behavioral Health Consultant to primary care physicians where she innovated the development of a substance use disorder consultation clinic embedded within primary care. Her background in research-supported treatment modalities directly informs her ability to ensure the most effective interventions are incorporated into The Manor’s holistic program.

Pam is a Certified Advanced Practice Social Worker working in the mental health field since 1994. She is also a substance abuse counselor, a Certified EMDR therapist, a Consultant in Training, a Certified Colorpuncture Practitioner and a member of both NASW and EMDRIA. With extensive experience working with trauma survivors and dual diagnosis clients, Pam provides clients at The Manor with individual and group therapy. She specializes in eating disorders and has previously worked at an eating disorder center. Pam has also been trained in sex addictions, specializing in assessment for process addictions and past life regression therapy. A dynamic presenter, Pam has spoken at schools, conferences, hospitals and on television news programs. She believes that in helping her clients access their own emotional and spiritual beliefs, that they will be able to maximize their personal growth.

Victoria has been in the mental health field since 2004 and earned her Masters from the University in Wisconsin-Whitewater in Community Counseling. She has clinical specialties in treating trauma and substance abuse disorders, as well as mental health disorders and is currently completing her EMDR Certification. She has previous experience working with adults with dual diagnosis of persistent and chronic mental illness and substance abuse disorders in a community program. Before joining The Manor’s team, Victoria was a therapist in a women’s’ program focusing on the simultaneous treatment of trauma and substance abuse disorders. At The Manor, she works alongside the Clinical Director providing client treatment and interventions, facilitating clinical supervision for the Associate Therapists and guiding them to conceptualize and execute treatment planning and interventions with clients. Victoria values a healthy lifestyle that includes exercise, yoga, meditation, reading, cooking and spending time outdoors.

Jake has earned his Master’s Degree in Social Work and has received certifications in Substance Abuse Training, Trauma Informed Care and Brainspotting. As an Associate Therapist at The Manor, he facilitates substance abuse and mental health group therapy as well as holds individual sessions for clients. Working with the treatment team, he provides clinical assessments, discharge planning and follow-up care. Prior to joining The Manor Team, Jake has worked with children and adults suffering from co-morbid diagnoses, including autism and behavioral disabilities. Jake has a passion for playing soccer and enjoys coaching and mentoring local youth in local communities.

John’s favorite aspect of his role at The Manor is assisting client's in developing the skills and practices they desire for sustained recovery and long-term wellness. He works with clients from a present moment and solution focused orientation, meeting them where they’re at, and helping them immediately implement the changes they want in their lives.  John provides this support to each client at The Manor in both group and individual therapy settings. John has experience in treating clients from across the life course, with mindfulness based, experiential, and psycho-educational approaches.  He is a certified yoga teacher, with expertise in trauma informed yoga practice and he received his Master's degree in Social Work at The University of Denver where he concentrated in Behavioral Health and Animal Assisted Therapy.  John is a passionate nature enthusiast and  adventurer. He is also a very enthusiastic therapist, and his approach to enlivening the treatment experience is part of his nature and active, energetic lifestyle.

Ruth provides The Manor’s clients guidance in investigating the relevance of spiritual practices and relationship to self and others. She also encourages clients to find authentic ways to express their spirituality as they recover from alcoholism, addiction and trauma.
Ruth facilitates 12-Step retreats and spirituality workshops in Wisconsin and throughout the United States, helping individuals explore practices and prayer in new ways by delving into creative, passionate, active and still processes.
Ruth trained at the Siena Spirituality Center in Racine, WI where she was certified in Spiritual Direction. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Professional Development of Education from Cardinal Stritch University, and has more than 30 years’ experience in education.
Ruth enjoys the outdoors by biking, hiking, gardening and photography and the indoors by drawing, painting, writing, sewing and yoga.
Ruth is active in both AA and Al-Anon through sponsorship and service work.

Dr. Todd Kammerzelt is an addiction psychiatrist certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). In addition to his role of Psychiatrist at The Manor, Dr. Kammerzelt also serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Most recently, he was the Medical Director of Connections Counseling in Madison, Wisconsin. He previously held the roles of Staff Psychiatrist at the Madison VA and Unit Chief for an adult co-occurring disorder program at the Brattleboro Retreat in Vermont.
Dr. Kammerzelt received his medical degree at the University of Wisconsin Madison School of Medicine and Public Health, including the Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship at the UW School of Medicine. He also accomplished his premedical degree at Columbia University and undergraduate degree at Tulane University.
At The Manor, Dr. Kammerzelt treats each client individually by utilizing his expertise in mental health and substance use disorders with compassion and dedication.

Specializing in family medicine and integrative medicine, Physician Assistant Allison Laurent provides medical care and medication management for clients at The Manor. She focuses on optimizing health through lifestyle interventions and targeted nutraceuticals and supplements, as well as utilizing her training to help clients overcome mental health disorders. After receiving her BS in Genetics from the University of Wisconsin Madison, Allison received an MS in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Colorado and completed her Fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona. Prior to working at The Manor, Allison worked as a physician assistant in orthopedic surgery and at an onsite integrative medicine clinic at Trek Bicycle Company in Waterloo, Wisconsin. When not at The Manor, Allison works in family medicine at Gallagher Family Medicine and enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons, dog, and cat, as well as doing yoga, hiking, running, biking, and cross-country skiing.

Rebecca is a board certified registered nurse specializing in psychiatric mental health with a background in hospital, outpatient and residential settings. Utilizing an integrative treatment philosophy, Rebecca develops a trusting relationship with clients upon their arrival at The Manor. She also works closely with The Manor’s physicians and clinical team to develop personalized plans that identify the client's individualized needs and create a holistic care plan that honors the client's treatment goals. During treatment, Rebecca is a resource for clients to learn more about holistic wellness, medications, nutrition, pain management, as well as how to be an active participant in their addiction recovery. Rebecca enjoys camping, hiking and family time with her husband and daughters.

Nancy is Vice President of Clinical Outreach at The Manor where she is responsible for overseeing and facilitating admissions, continuing care and national clinical outreach. She brings with her more than 20 years of addiction and behavioral health experience at nationally recognized, well-respected treatment facilities throughout the country—including 10 years as Director of Marketing at The Meadows in Arizona. Nancy has led national business development teams and trained outreach and marketing professionals throughout the country. She has also been an integral part of developing new treatment programs and has helped numerous private practice practitioners grow their businesses into thriving practices. Nancy began her career, after receiving her Masters of Science in Social Work from Columbia University, as a therapist at an outpatient clinic and became the Assistant Director for several years before finding her passion in addiction treatment and clinical outreach.

At The Manor, she serves as a resource not only for individuals seeking treatment, but also for treatment providers and professionals, developing and maintaining relationships with care providers throughout the Midwest and across the country. Prior to joining The Manor’s outreach team, Stephanie was the Director of Marketing for a medical rehabilitation center, working closely with hospital social workers, case managers, physicians and community partners. Stephanie lives in the western suburbs of Chicago with her husband and two children and enjoys spending time with her family, yoga and gardening.

Krista has earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services Management with extended studies in Psychology and Addiction Treatment. Previously, Krista has worked at both inpatient and residential treatment centers with adolescents and adults focusing on addiction and mental health treatment. She has experience facilitating groups specializing in the 12 Dimensions of Wellness. Krista has always wanted to make an impact on others, which has brought her to the Manor. In her role at the Manor, she is able to provide clients with emotional support and assist clients in clinical work during their spare time. While Krista is not at work, she enjoys art, photography, nature walks and spending time with her friends and family.

Ryan has worked in Social Services for 17 years in treatment center facilities and shelters with at-risk children and adults with autism and dual-diagnoses. At The Manor, Ryan provides overall support and direction to clients on their road to recovery. He has earned his degree in Marketing with a focus on Psychology and Sociology. His hobbies include sports and collecting vintage rock ‘n’ roll t-shirts.

As a Clinical Coach, Christopher ensures that clients feel safe and comfortable, providing guidance with daily activities and emotional support throughout the day. He leads nightly meditations and observes patient activity in the clinical milieu. Though Christopher’s background and degree is in finance and banking, he transitioned to addiction counseling because of his personal recovery. He recently completed his AODA Certification at Gateway Technical College in Wisconsin. Christopher is passionate about recovery and serving his community. He serves on the advocacy committee at NAMI and volunteers with Tomorrow’s Choice, SOPHIA, The Hope Center and his local church.

Ruby is a clinical coach at The Manor, providing emotional support to clients, facilitating activities, managing the garden, and supporting clients as they journey through recovery. Her forte and passion lies in trauma work as it relates to sobriety and recovery. Ruby enjoys practicing holistic modalities of whole-body healing and works with clients on cultivating self-care routines that are rejuvenating and supportive to recovery work. Ruby is currently enrolled in a program for an associate’s degree in human services. Previously she has worked as an herbalist, creating plant-based medicines and helping others to heal their bodies with supplements, healing practices, and herbal medicines. Outside of her current work at The Manor, Ruby enjoys gardening, cross-stitching, working with her 100+ house plants, hiking, and playing with her dogs. A recovering alcoholic herself, Ruby works closely with local AA meeting houses and enjoys serving her AA community.

As a Clinical Coach at The Manor, Gerri ensures that all client's needs are met with empathy, compassion, respect and love as they journey into recovery. Gerri received her bachelor's degree in psychology with minors in elective studies and religious studies from Alverno College. She is currently working on her master’s degree in community psychology at Alverno College to become a licensed professional counselor (LPC). Gerri has a great interest in positive psychology and helping the most vulnerable populations. Prior to joining The Manor, Gerri worked as a volunteer coordinator at a hospice agency in Brookfield, Wisconsin where she managed and recruited community members to provide companionship and pet therapy to patients in hospice care. Additionally, she worked as a case manager assisting marginalized community members in becoming self-sufficient. Gerri enjoys collecting gemstones, watching documentaries, learning new things, and volunteering in her community.

Jacob received his BFA for Painting and Drawing from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He has previously worked as a camera grip, personal assistant, server at fine restaurants, artist residencies, and foreman at a landscape company. Outside of work, Jacob enjoys painting, drawing, photography, biking, fishing, hiking, and gardening. He often volunteers at Exodus House in Kewaskum where he went to residential treatment.

As The Manor’s care coordinator, Allison works with each client individually to develop a tailored aftercare plan that promotes long-term health and relapse prevention. In this process, she collaborates with a multitude of professionals to help clients transition smoothly upon their discharge from The Manor. Allison is also a clinical coach at The Manor, working one-on-one with clients on 12-Step work and other recovery related support. She has personal experience within the recovery community and continues to work that into her daily life. Before coming to The Manor, Allison worked at Rogers Behavioral Hospital in a variety of different areas. Allison is a sports enthusiast and loves to participate and watch a little bit of everything, but her heart belongs to baseball and tennis. She loves the outdoors (especially fishing) and looks forward to traveling more in the future.

He graduated with the Le Grand Diploma from Le Cordon Bleu in London, England. As an Executive Chef at The Manor, Arthur is committed to creating nutritious, seasonal and locally sourced meals that provide superior nutritional care to each client. Arthur especially enjoys The Manor’s Tuesday afternoon cooking class structured around the clients’ desire to build an individualized culinary toolkit to take with them on their continued path towards lasting recovery. Kady Gibowski is an executive chef at The Manor where she creates healthy, hand-crafted meals and snacks catered to each client’s tastes and needs while following a client-specific nutritional program. Kady attended Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Minneapolis/St. Paul. With more than 18 years' experience as a chef in restaurants and high-end private clubs, Kady provides a welcoming and positive presence, offering a friendly ear, a smile, and lessons and recipes when requested. Outside The Manor, she enjoys spending time with her fiancé, who is also culinarian, cooking at home, and trying new restaurants. Kady also loves live music, hiking, and spending time with two adorable young nephews.

As The Manor’s personal fitness coach, Roy strongly believes in the value of exercise as one component of a whole-person recovery journey. He takes a highly personal approach to helping clients reconnect with their bodies and rediscover the joy of movement. Formerly an IT professional, Roy became a personal fitness trainer after undergoing a major health and lifestyle transformation, and has operated his own fitness and wellness business for more than 10 years. He also serves as a certified Wisconsin firefighter, volunteers at his church and a local food pantry, and co-owns and operates a private fitness, wellness, yoga, and dance studio with his wife. When he is not working, Roy enjoys road trips with his family, dad jokes, training for marathons and triathlons, cooking, theatre, playing his guitar, and slowly remodeling their vintage home.

Beth is the Manor’s Administrative Assistant. She works conjunctly with the Clinical Director, Program Director and Program Coordinator to create employee schedules and to facilitate the client/clinical link for insurance. She also acts as the onsite coordinator for Human Resources, along with many miscellaneous administrative duties. Beth has previous experience in Marketing. Beth enjoys hunting, attending church and participating in ACS Relay for Life through the local community.
